Russian River Brewery
Beer, pizza, wings, pliny bits…. yes please. This brewery is world famous for a reason. We prefer the OG location in Santa Rosa but you can also check out the new facility in Windsor.
George’s Favorite: Robert Saison
Monica’s Favorite: Supplication
Bottle Barn
Need to stock up on vacation libations? Aside from some gorgeous wines ahead in Anderson Valley, opportunities stock up on supplies are limited and it’s a good idea to make a stop before getting out of civilization. George can (and does) spend hours here perusing the aisles. Don’t be like George, pick out your favorites and move on, there’s more fun ahead.
Ok, ok so this is an alcohol heavy favorites lists but no Anderson Valley list can be complete without a mention of this brewery. Great beer, a “homemade language” lesson and a disc golf course for those with time to kill.
Bahl Hornin’!
Named in honor of Velma Farrer, who worked the ranch, now known as Filigreen Farms, alongside her husband for over 60 years. Keep a look out for road signs after you leave the town of Boonville, and make a quick stop here to stock up on seasonal produce and gorgeous flowers.
Anderson Valley Wineries

This gorgeous State Park was home to the famous “Hendy Hermit” and has over 80 acres of old growth redwoods to explore. Check out the “Big Hendy” trails and feel tiny amongst the giants of the forest.
